It is like the space trip to the mysterious SADO island.

First of all, in order to know SADO more deeply, this site is introduced by "ILS project" in SADO of JAPAN. Additionally we would like to become a guide in yure visiting SADO.

As shown in the title, this site introduces "Very Misterious SADO Island" which is known only to local people of SADO or a part of enthusiast fans.

SADO is very famous island in JAPAN. But nobody knows all about the SADO, because of too many specialities in many fields in SADO.

1) SADO has very long cultural history and many histrical
structures and cultures as national treasures of Japan are left in SADO.

3) A lot of big events are held in SADO.
4) You can experience many marin sports, fishing, tapping a taiko(KODO Center), making japanese goods.

SADO is about 30km to leave Niigata. It is far away than you imagine. In the middle of the sailing, it is a large ocean which only see a horizontal line. Is SADO Island about the same as Okinawa ?

In the past time, very many famous people were driven to SADO because of ideological sins ("Shima-nagashi"). Sometimes prosperous by gold mining. Recently it has become famous for the natural breeding of "Toki".

Japan is proud of rich nature. However, It is not well known that SADO Island is in a more rare natural environment.

For example, it is "Osado Ishina Natural Cedar Forest" which is one of the "three major Japanese cedar forests". The gigantic cedar primeval forest, which has been exposed to heavy snowy strong winds and is growing in a very strange shape, in an area that is so large as to be expressed as a virgin forest. That was also discovered several years ago by photographer Mr. Amano. Oh my god !

The other one is "TOKI", not a story about natural breeding. Many "TOKI" were inhabited all over Japan, why was the land that survived to the end was SADO ? Is it just a coincidence, or a translation ?

The territorial dispute of "Kobudai" was seen, many yellowtails swim(liking cold water), there are coral reefs(liking warm water) aside. "Rhododendron", "Snowgrass" and "Licorice" are clustered, and there are various big trees everywhere. Everywhere in the island, I see a plant called "What is this?" It is not uncommon for raccoons to run through in front of running cars.

Osado Mountains, Kosado Mountains and Kuninaka-heiya in between, SADO is more than the imagination and terrain that is rich in variety of change. The Japan Sea spreads off the coast of SADO, where warm current:Oyashio and cold currents:Kuroshio. They hit the coast off Sado Island.

The northern and southern limits of various animals and plants overlap, coupled with the complexity of the terrain. The diversity is unusual. It is also a major factor that there are no large beasts.
